Robert Prowse, baritone, has over 40 operatic and musical theater roles in his repertoire, including Giovanni in Don Giovanni, the Father in Hansel and Gretel, Germont in La Traviata, the Count in The Marriage of Figaro, and many others. He has appeared locally with Amore Opera, New York Opera Forum, Ridgewood Gilbert and Sullivan Opera, Palisades Opera, Baroque Orchestra of New Jersey, Opera at Florham, Regina Opera and other companies throughout the tri-state. In oratorio, Robert has sung leading roles in Bach’s St. Matthew Passion, Mendelssohn’s Elijah, Handel’s Messiah, the Brahms Requiem and many more. Dr. Prowse is Coordinator of Choral Studies at New Jersey City University, where he conducts the Concert Chorale and Chamber Singers, and teaches music history, theory and conducting courses.
